That´s how long it has been since I last hit the beach, I have been inland, and across the Pond to NABX but 242 days ago was the last time I buggied on a beach. I had good reason too feel excited, New Apex, New Landsegler wheels, and New HQ prodigy Race kites.....Let the fun begin. Video
HQ Powerkites North America NABX 2012
Our HQ-USA Team just finalized a cool video from NABX 2012. It shows the amazing wide open space of the Ivanpah dry lake, whilst riding the current range of our depowerkites.
Due to illness Carl Lamberts almost could not make it out to NABX 2012, near Las Vegas, NV. But after a short recovery he finally decided to go into the desert. He already rocked the camp back in 2011 with other riders and made new friends, as he told us.
On Wednesday, Chris Shultz from HQ Kites USA equipped Carl with the 3m Beamer and the 3.4m HQ Prodigy Race Kite, which Carl used for the entire event. Motivated by more and more people in the camp Carl accelerated his Prodigy up to 56.20 mph and showed us a spectacular run, exceeding his former speed record from 2011. Saturday was the best day for Carl because of the constant wind that blew with about 15 mph. He heated up to top form and showed us powered down turns and power sliding. The North American Buggy eXpo 2012 was Carls second and probably last event in the desert of Las Vegas but he will always keep the nice people he met and the rapid races he had in his memories.
Despite the
unfavourable weather in France
our team rider Morgan was landing trick after trick on his 15m Matrixx. With
winds averaging 13 to 15 knots he was rocking the beach and showed us perfectly
executed jumps combined with grabs. Rotations were also part of his of his
daily repertoire.
With wind
conditions of about 10 to 15 knots and borealis, Mariannejs 12m Matrixx was
carving through the blue painted sky all by itself. Special thanks to her GoPro
HD 1 for allowing us to be a part of her rapid race.
